Traffic Manager

Summary

PRPL is looking for a Traffic Manager to ensure work is distributed efficiently to the team in a way that each task can be accomplished on time, on budget, and within scope.

Responsibility

• Understand best practices of traffic management within an agency environment and apply them at PRPL
• Educate team members on expectations and requirements to properly manage traffic for cross-discipline resources
• Understand and report on resource availability
• Collaborate with Leadership to determine resources for incoming projects
• Collaborate with Sales to forecast resources for inbound/outbound work
• Act as liaison with Billing and Project Management departments to ensure bookkeeping and timely payments
• Properly reserve resources for incoming or projected work
• Manage the flow of project tasks through a system
• Autonomously resolve scheduling conflicts
• Collaborate with the Project Management department to ensure work is completed on schedule and on budget
• Follow up with project managers on tasks remaining open past the due date
• Enforce deadlines to ensure movement of tasks through the project management tool
• Proactively adjust schedules to reduce idle time and balance peak time
• Suggest improvements to the trafficking process and resource allocation, creating efficiencies with learnings from prior projects
• Understand various methods of project management (waterfall, agile, mixed) and how to schedule phases / teams in each methodology
• Provide insight into new trafficking tools and help vet, configure, and train on new project tools

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in traffic management or project management with cross-discipline resources
• Excellent communication and self-motivation
• Comfortable enforcing protocols within the production process
• Familiarity with common project management methodologies, at minimum waterfall and agile
• Enjoys problem solving and finding creative solutions to meet project goals
• Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong initiative to contribute to the continuous improvement of traffic management

Bonus Points
• Experience with JIRA / Confluence
• Previous agency experience
• Understanding of digital project management and design / development terminology
• Familiarity with phases and common tasks of technical projects
