Marketing Manager


DataBank is looking for a Marketing Manager to lead the development of our vertical specific marketing. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will be instrumental in helping us to achieve our growth targets within a specific vertical by shaping how we prioritize, position, and bring our solutions to market. We’re in search of a go-getter with a can-do attitude who is excited by a challenge and the opportunity to build and execute a vertical specific marketing plan.

As a Vertical Marketing Manager, you’ll be an expert on what’s important to our customers and prospects within an assigned vertical. You will define key buyers and influencers, and will define and adapt solution messaging that is most compelling for a particular vertical.

This role is highly cross-functional, ultimately giving you a great overview of the business and exposure to all aspects of the organization. A desire for understanding segment nuance, along with the ability to grasp and translate enterprise technology and services into benefits, is crucial.


-Develop & Execute Vertical Marketing Plans & Strategies to drive profitable growth.
-Deliver a pipeline of verticals specific, qualified leads to our Director of Marketing.
-Responsible for delivering superb marketing assets and programs, from branding, website and social media content to field marketing specific to an assigned vertical.
-Create and develop marketing campaigns, demand generation activities, and conversion and nurture programs that provide measurable improvement of lead quality.
-Manage, track, and deliver performance reports for all important KPIs.
-Run key projects from start to finish, and ensure the on time and on budget delivery and success of all marketing projects.
-Experiment constantly and deploy resources effectively to optimize acquisition across channels.
-Develop deep understanding of existing and new segments, including the size of the market, industry trends, major customers and influencers within the segment, unique competitive environments, etc.
-Work collaboratively across Sales and Marketing to create and drive a consistent, compelling, and vertically-specific message to market.


Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing, Public Relations/Communications or a related discipline
-5-7 years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B technology
-Proven experience developing strategic marketing plans
-Data-driven, analytical, and fact-based approach to making business recommendations and decisions
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills: the ability to speak knowledgeably, clearly and persuasively to a diverse range of audiences
-Demonstrated ability to lead groups and pull individuals together for common goals
-Willing to travel up to 25%
