Marketing & Communications Manager

Summary

We’re seeking a full-time Marketing & Communications Manager with excellent project management and digital content management experience to work locally in our Winter Park office.

What does this look like day-to-day?

Managing websites, blogs, and social media accounts for one company operating as three luxury travel brands; working with freelancers to complete web content projects — aka — making things look great online. Also, you’ll be meeting with suppliers who often travel from Africa to visit our office, thinking of creative ways to partner with them to market their product through our brands to ultimately inspire people to travel.

This is a very autonomous role — there’s much room for trying new tactics to generate business, but you must be a self-starter to succeed. If you’re full of business development ideas and highly creative, you’ll fit in well. Previous experience in digital content management is ideal, but we’re happy to train. Coordinating with sales team to develop product and market across all platforms according to strategy
Planning and executing events to build relationships in the local community
Conducting research and compiling data to analyze competition and track goals
Managing company social media channels
Developing and managing a product and content marketing calendar
Creating compelling content to be used in print and digital marketing materials
Managing website redesign for all company brands

Previous experience managing a content marketing calendar
SEO knowledge and experience
Blog management
Previous PR experience including responding to HARO requests, writing press releases, and pitching to the media
Previous event planning experience
Community outreach experience
Strategic thinking based on industry trends

Nice To Have

Experience managing a budget
Previous travel industry experience, particularly international or within the African safari industry
Previous experience hiring and managing freelancers or interns
Experience managing multiple brands which speak to different audiences
Web development experience/knowledge of coding languages such as HTML and CSS
Experience scouting new channels through which to promote product
Strong connections within community groups or professional organizations

Compensation

$30-36K annually depending on experience + performance-based incentives
