Marketing Assistant

Summary

Assists the Manager/Vice President as necessary and acts as the primary contact for all members of management. Acts as Marketing Assistant to department management and performs the required tasks of the job.

Responsibility

Receives and routes incoming mail for department.
Provides telephone back-up for the department.
Compiles and produces reports for department leadership, as required.
Reconciles monthly corporate credit card statements and invoices from vendors for payment.
Logs invoices and processes check requests for departmental expenses.
Administers Marketing Department budget software. Maintains an accurate snapshot of department expenses.
Pulls budget reports upon demand using software.
Creates and designs account and credit card statement promotional ads for marketing initiatives.
Maintains an accurate inventory of all Marketing event materials (tablecloths, carts, etc.) and gift cards for department/non-marketing use.
Assists with maintaining a clean and organized storage room for the department.
Develops phone-on-hold messages and effectively manage scheduling process.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Work is performed under general supervision but according to specific and detailed operating procedures. Operates word processing equipment (i.e. personal computer, laser printer, and word-processing plus graphics software programs) to produce correspondence, reports and other materials. Utilizes capabilities of equipment to spell check, edit, sort, merge or otherwise organize data in presentation format. Receives a variety of materials for processing and must be a proficient typist to adequately perform the job functions.
