Responsibility

Responsibilities include:

– Work with CEO to oversee day to day functioning of agency and step in and manage issues or initiatives as needed, with a focus on financial oversight on projects
– Analyze data and compile reports using agency time and budget management tools
– Develop and manage company budgets and policies
– Primary owner of relationship with HR/Payroll partner
– Manage contractual relationship with vendors
– Manage yearly reviews, handbook updates, open enrollment
– Lead weekly financial status meetings with account team members
– Cross compare employee hours against actual hours billed to monitor and flag concerns with Project Manager
– Manages AR, AP, billing, collection, vendors, credit cards, bank accounts
– Assists in project closure and financial follow-ups.
– Prepares monthly balance sheets, profit/loss statements, cash flow statement and other financial reports
– Maintains all corporate accounting records, financial files, and other needs as it relates to finance and operational filing
– Tracking overall internal office expenses and other internal items
– Keep employee utilization reports up to date
– Process employee expense reports
– Assists in the preparation of all audit/review schedules and review of the books and records with an outside audit team
– Oversee all financial accounts including secondary companies
When required, will have direct client contact on matters pertaining to billing and collection and pricing

Qualifications

Requirements:

– This is a mid-level position. Two years of experience in financial management, preferably an advertising or creative agency
– Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year accredited college or university
– Strong management and leadership skills
– Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly
– Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills
– Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team
– Interest and passion for advertising, social & digital media, and emerging technologies
– Diligent work ethic with a desire to expand skill set while consistently learning
– Ability to think quickly (but not rashly) and prioritize
– Proactive, creative, and independent
– Organized, analytical and good interpersonal skills and a concise business writer
– A healthy passion for process and problem solving
– Experience with Workamajig software is preferable
